Lots and Lots of Peas

I've been trying to use what's in my freezer so I don't waste food. While working my way through all of my freezer food I have found like 4 bags of peas. I apparently thought I was out of peas every time I went to the grocery store! Now I'm trying to think of meals to incorporate peas...so far I've got chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie on the list. Any other ideas for meals with peas?

Stew-oh, mom already said that. Throw it in chicken alfredo. Grant loves peas!! He'll eat at least two of your bags.

I make mom's stew without peas. Peas are gross. Just throw them away. There is no acceptable way to eat them.

I have a fabulous potato soup recipe that takes 15 minutes to make, has peas, and anyone I have ever made it for LOVES it.
Momma Smith's Creamy Ham & Vegetable Soup
Barbara Smith

1 ½ cups water
2 carrots -- cut into 1" cubes
1 medium potato -- cut into 1" cubes
1 medium onion -- cut into chunks
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup cubed ham
½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 can cream of celery soup

Boil water, carrots, potatoes, and onion covered for 10 minutes. Add peas, ham, cheese, and soup. Cook 5 minutes more but do not let it boil.

tuna casserole. I don't make your mom's stew with peas either. Just doesn't "fit". This is my first visit to your blog. Impressed so far, especially the comment about Dave not liking Luke standbys. Jeremy doesn't like anything Romero and we've survived thus far. Not pleasantly, but we've survived.
