Cheddar is Better

I'm starting to realize that my husband thinks the Lukes eat weird foods. Some of our most beloved meals growing up do not impress Dave. Today I introduced him to the "american cheese melted on a tortilla in the microwave" quesadilla. I was really craving an easy snack, so of course I thought of this old family fave. I made him take a bite to see if he liked it--he didn't. He promptly made a microwave quesadilla with cheddar and proclaimed "Cheddar is better!" I beg to disagree...it's not better, it's just different.

Dave does not appreciate the Luke family hash pizzas, waffles for dinner, spam, egg mc muffins or tuna on toast. I don't know if this marriage is going to work...

Ewwww I've never made a quesadilla with American Cheese!! Apparently that was the older Luke traditions! But Dad and I made Ryan cheese straws a few weeks ago and cheddar is definitely better on those!

Hey Whitney, it's JJ (used to be Smith). This post cracks me up! What's wrong with your husband, all those things sound yummy to me! :)

all things I intend to eat over the break, although I don't think I ever did the quesadilla thing. microwaved scrambled eggs maybe. and microwaving wonderbread with butter and cinnamon sugar, not toast.

How did the little kids get deprived of the tortilla with American cheese?

You really should worry about your marriage not working. :P

Travis doesn't care for our foods too much either. Definately no spam, haven't even tried tuna on toast or hash pizzas. He didn't like the Chilighetti (neither did the kids-so sad) and detests Chicken Delight-sigh.

Too funny! I remember when David's father and I were married, and I was trying to get used to their family food: cooking using only salt, and the "spicy" food they might add a little pepper under extreme circumstances....!!
For this garlic and onion eating Armenian, I was in shock...then there was the grilled cheese sandwiches they's put of all things, STRAWBERRY JAM on!! However, being the adventerous sould that I am, I gradually became accustomed to the new foods, and would sneak in my own garlic if necessary, and just to feel secure....lol
